An important part of Cebreros Carnival is the gastronomy. Loads of buns are prepared by people of the village in a completely handmade way. It was usual for the neighbours to meet and prepare these sweet delicacies the previous days to Carnival, leaving in the streets that characteristic smell that announced the arrival of the most relevant appointment in Cebreros. The most popular ones are “rosquillas” and “retorcidos”, but there are also others such as “huesillos” or “mantecados”. In order to promote them and to keep the tradition, there is a contest in which everyone can participate and in which attendees can taste the participant’s creations.
